A Bourgogne Côte d'Or with a fruity, generous character, by Fabien Coche
The Estate
The Domaine Fabien Coche, founded in 1940 in Meursault under the name Coche-Bizouard, draws on a family heritage present in this Burgundy village since the 19th century. Now run by Fabien Coche, a fourth-generation winemaker, the estate farms twelve hectares spread across several communes of the Côte de Beaune. Renowned for the quality of its Meursault wines, it has embraced organic viticulture, with certification obtained in 2023, reflecting a constant pursuit of precision and purity in the expression of its terroirs.
The Vineyard
This Burgundy wine comes from several plots farmed organically. Once the grapes have reached optimal ripeness, they undergo rigorous sorting to guarantee exceptionally high-quality raw material, a hallmark of purity and authenticity for this Pinot Noir.
Vinification and Ageing
The Bourgogne Côte d'Or "Pinot Noir" 2024 is vinified through spontaneous fermentation, using the indigenous yeasts naturally present on the berries, without punching down or pumping over, in order to preserve the delicacy of the fruit. It is then aged in large foudres, a choice that avoids marking the wine with overly pronounced oaky notes and preserves all the freshness of the Pinot Noir.
Grape Variety
100% Pinot Noir.
