Description
A perfectly harmonious red wine from Pauillac
Château Pontet-Canet is a 5ème cru classé produced in the Pauillac appellation. This red wine comes from vines aged 40 to 45 years on average, planted on a total area of 81 hectares. The vineyard is located on a terroir composed of Quaternary gravel. The wine is aged for 16 months in oak barrels (60% of which are new).
At tasting, the château Pontet-Canet 2009 develops fragrances of blackcurrant and blackberries, along with subtle notes of cedar. On the palate, it is concentrated, with a delicious fruitiness and elegant, fleshy tannins. The wine is balanced and offers a perfectly harmonious structure. The finish is incredibly elegant.
